This is the artist, designer, and owner of Jimannique, Ann Collings. She travelled with her late husband, Jim starting in 1969. She and Dave have shown together since 2007. I always say, "If you don't know your jewelry, know your jeweler." Come in and get acquainted.

About us.

Many people rank traveling as one of their anticipated activities: vacations, business and retirement. This allows them to take their beds with them, wherever they go. I noticed RVs gave some of my dearest retired friends the freedom they dreamed of. When they visited our home, which was often filled with children, they could retreat to their traveling home in the front yard for a bit of peace and quiet.

As for traveling – Ann and I have been "on the road" since August 2007, putting 20,000+ miles per year on our van. But I'm getting ahead of myself – so – back to the beginning.

Jim and Ann started a small business in 1969, selling fine and the carved jewelry at horse shows and conventions of several breeds as well as wild animal conventions. Sadly, after Arabian Horse Nationals in October 1999, Jim was diagnosed with cancer. He had several surgeries and many radiation sessions and passed away in August 2003 with "radiation pneumonia."

My wife (Karie) passed away March 2005 with complications resulting from COPD. I was introduced to Ann by a mutual friend in October 2005.

Fast forward to August 2007 – we set up our first show together. As they say the rest is history.

The Internet has afforded me some communication possibilities otherwise unheard of. I have a Twitter and Facebook account, however, I soon discovered that such an involvement in social media was impossible when we are on the road. I do check our email every day because we do communicate with our clients. Ann will be entering the computer age sometime soon. You can hear the screaming and see the gravel flying as her heels dig deep trenches along this strange road. Her love is designing, organizing, filing, etc. It would seem as though the computer would lend itself to this passion; however, she likes the real hard copy, not the digital info.

This may give some indication that my life has become very different since I retired years ago. God has so blessed me with experiences, but I just saw them as difficult challenges to be overcome.

May you have a great day, and we look forward to visiting with you at a convention or horse show soon!
